Class Descriptions


DANCE CLASSES


Starting with creative dance they learn how to enjoy and move to the music, teaching rhythm and coordination. Moving on to Dance and Zumbatomic at age 6 they learn the excitement of hip hop, salsa and Latin pop.

   • Creative Dance (3-5 year olds)

GYMNASTIC AND CHEER

The younger children learn rolls, balance beam, and the basics of cartwheels and hand stands with lots of help, while the more advanced class learns independent movements as well as how to incorporate the bars, beams and rings into their routines.

    • Tiny Tumblers (3-5 year olds)
    • Gymnastics & Cheer (6+ year olds)




KINDERMUSIK

Whether it’s twirling under a sea of scarves, experimenting with age-appropriate instruments, singing about a scampering squirrel, creating a musical ensemble, or snuggling in your lap during story time, Kindermusik speaks your child’s language and offers your child the best music and movement class available.

KIDZ YOGA

This class offers a fun approach to yoga through animated poses and stretching exercises that promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. For kids who may not enjoy conventional sports, yoga may provide a much-needed physical outlet in a noncompetitive environment. Kids will improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. Using interactive games and animated postures, kids learn about animals, nature and basic anatomy through yoga.



ADULT ZUMBA



Evenings Monday through Thursday we offer adult fitness classes, with child watch for ages 2+ is included in the price of the class. Zumba® fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!



TODDLE WADDLE

An activity class designed for walkers ages 1&2 years old.  Through active parent participation, you and your child will enjoy monthly themes used to stimulate your developing child's motor skills and socialization.  In this 45 minute class, you will be lead through stretching, music, and dance activities with the chance for your child to explore our “Treasure Chest” of props.  Our class stations will enable your child to practice their balance, movement, and problem solving skills in a social environment.  Class will close each week with a ride on the giant parachute and bubble dancing.


FITNESS FUN

This class is designed for the 3-5 year old child.  We will continue to improve and develop balance and coordination skills through active games.  The children will learn teamwork and gain confidence during parachute play and fitness stations.  Beginning sports skills will be introduced in fun ways.


HOOP FITNESS

“Hooping” is a low-impact, fat-burning workout that strengthens your core and calms your mind. 
 Hoopdancing workouts burn 300-600 calories an hour, increase energy, improve flexibility, promote balance and coordination, relieve stress and so much more.  Special weighted hoops will be available for class use.  Being an experienced Hooper is not necessary!  Adult classes will be 1 hour.  Children ages 6+ will work with smaller weighted hoops to play games and improve their balance and coordination in the hoop in their 45 minute class.
